Lol, no it doesn't make the poo taste bad, although lots of people say this, what it does is help digest the protein in the food eaten so that no undigested protein will be left in poop. Undigested protein smells very good to a dog, and with no protein smell left in the poop, it will no longer smell good or appetizing, it probably tastes the same.
Remember dogs don't taste like humans, they mainly "smell" their food, and they can focus on just one element of a smell, where humans smell the "blend", and it smells like **** to us, but to a dog undigested protein smells like a hamburger or chicken or steak.
