I don't like Denamarin because, although I like Denosyl, Marin does contain liver and yeast. This may be okay for some liver compromised dogs but these ingredients aren't tolerated well by others. I would rather give Denosyl or Vetri DMG and human milk thistle or Hepatosupport.

You can supplement with vit e and b if you want. I am not right now.
One time throwing up wouldn't lead me to believe that protocol needs to be changed...only if it keeps happening.

We use CET vanilla-mint toothpaste from entirelypets.com. That is a cheap place to buy Denosyl also but I think we are switching to Vetri DMG.

Just one thing to add. If you decide not to give Denamarin or Marin and give plain milk thistle, you do need to add vitamin E.

I switched from milk thistle to Marin after a member on another forum whose Maltese is a patient of Dr. Tobias said she recommended it. According to Dr. Tobias, without the Vitamin E, you don't get the same benefits from Milk Thistle. I haven't had any problem with the slight amount of liver in Marin and it's easier for me to give it in one pill.
