Dogs who eat canned food don't have to drink much of anything to meet their requirements. Ellie eats homecooked ad rarely drinks.

If she is on dry, then this could have something to do with her liver. Odd symptoms in general can accompany liver disease. If she is eating kibble, you can add equal parts water to it to get her to drink. It is very important that liver compromised dogs get enough moisture because of the bladder issues that tend to accompany liver disease.
