I'm feeling my way around myself for kibble. Maximus was weaned on Puppy Chow, and after I found this place, I found out it wasn't a good choice. I then tried him on Canidae and I thought was a great choice, but I heard (here of course,
) that the company switched manufacturers and that their formula was changed, causing upset tummies, etc. For the record, Maximus had no problems on the Canidae. So we are getting to the end of the bag of Canidae, and I wanted to try something different. So, I got some samples of Canine Caviar that a local pet boutique recommends (and she feeds her own furbaby). I tried him on it yesterday, mixed with the Canidae and he picked the Canine Caviar out over the Canidae, so I guess he likes it. The woman at the pet boutique told me that the puppies absorb most of the Canine Caviar and that they poop less and when they do poop, the poop doesn't stink. I guess until he is on it 100%, I won't be able to confirm the previous statement.
