My first rescue was Toby, a schnauzer mix. He was my baby...r.i.p. Toby-Tobe.
Olivia is a rehomed retired breeder...and as lovable as can be! Tucker is my new rescue, I've just had him 2 weeks. He was found on the streets and was so flea infested that he lost all his hair on his back half. It has been almost 7 weeks since he was picked up and he is still so thin...his hair is (I think!) growing back in but ever so slowly! He is also beginning to respond to targeted training for some behavorial issues...I'm really hoping I can work through those. I still look on petfinder and on yt at the rescues even though I'm not planning to adopt any time soon...they just have a special place in my heart.
Both of my daughters also have rescue dogs...Zig the silky terrier was rehomed because his mom had to go to the nursing home - he is the best little dog I've ever seen! Then there's Peanut the chi, and Diesel the boxer - he's gorgeous and so well-behaved. His family didn't want him because he has a scar on his haunches.
