Good luck with your new puppy. It sounds like he will be so spoiled with love which is what ANY puppy deserves. I would go through the house and puppy proof as much as you can. Look out for any cords or small objects that can be chewed on. Make sure he has his own place with lots of toys and fresh food and water at all times (this helps avoid low blood sugar). When they're really tiny they need to just be able to graze or at least mine always did better nibbeling here and there. Make sure you know what food he's on now and keep him on that, if you want to switch do it gradually so you don't mess up his little system. Read up on the types of food that are the best for him. Have fun they don't stay babies long (well I still think Roxie is a baby even though she's turning 2 in March)! |
