I used to be a vet tech. we were ALWAYS told to switch at a year old. you will want to do this in a 3 day grace period, where the first day you just add some adult food to the puppy food, little by little each day till you can ween them off, this will help with not making their tummies ache. Usually when dogs are spayed/neutred, it is not that they gain weight, that is a myth!!!!!
