There can be 2 types of infections with the ears, either yeast, or bacteria. Usually with yeast its a white, yellowish color, and with bacteria it is black and brown. I would probably tell you to maybe call the vet, and see if they can do a ear swab test, where they just use a q-tip and swab each ear, put the debris on a slide, and look for ear mites, or infection, so they can give you the correct medicine to use for the infection.
If your baby gets groomed as welll, you may want to make sure they are doing ear plucking- getting all that extra hair out of the ear canal. I would tell you to not use q-tips since you will push back all the debris back in the ear canal!
Call the vet!
