Kandi is a chewer too, so I finally started just putting her harness on when we leave the house. When she's at home, I don't leave it on her any more. When she's out and has it on there's a lot of stuff to do and see that distracts her from chewing.
I am also very glad that this story had a happy ending! How scary!
