I had that problem with my baby Mia too. The dog trainer told me to train her not to bite the harness this way.

He told me while at home put the harness on. But before you put it on spray it with bitter apple enough so every time she bites it she is discourage from doing it. How ever the Bitter apple wears off so you have to do it again and again. It worked for me.
