Ticks are disgusting. I soo hear you on that one. The only thing I would know to do is keep her on the frontline and brush her outside quickly each time you are about to come in from a walk to make sure there are no ticks crawling around. I have found them on my boys as far into the season as November this year and had to keep frontline on them almost year round at this point.
