I know that it is difficult to afford a Yorkie/any doggie during this time of economic stress. But the deal is, unfortunately, that you usually get what you pay for. It's not to say that many have had great success with doggies that are under $1,000 but since there are so many back-yard-breeders who care very little about the genetics of breeding, and nasty puppy millers it is very risky looking for a cheap puppy. Might I suggest that you check out rescues and shelters? There are many Yorkies being turned in because people can no longer afford the cost of caring for their doggies. It would also be wise to look for a larger Yorkie since you have a two yr. old child. I have a 2 yr. old granddaughter and I watch very, very closely. There have been horrible stories here on YT concerning small children and small furbabies. They just don't mix. Broken legs, concussions and worse have been reported. Hope you find the Yorkie of your dreams. ~Joanne~
