I was going to start a thread about it - but I've been busy playing in the ocean
(nope, I'm not in Iowa anymore - at least not this week
)
I went the day after Christmas - and unfortunately had not read the book. It was pretty well done (a review I read said there is less in the movie about their kids & that the movie focuses more on Marley.)
I thought it was pretty well done. My daughter said there was no plot, no conflict, no antigonist -- but I said Marley was all of that. It's about real life - what we all deal with. And if you have experienced the love & loss of a furbaby the movie takes you there in an instant.
My dad, agreed about it being about real life - I commented, yes so easily people throw out their animals when things get tough, my dad said "yes, or they throw away their families
-- all so true
