I just started brushing my dog's teeth. His former owner claims she brushed his teeth a few times a week, but I have my doubts. I read how to brush his teeth on another YT thread:

I wish I could say Thor loved getting his teeth brushed. It's been something of an ordeal so far. I'm hoping he will hate it less as time passes. I give him a nice treat afterwards, which probably undoes most of the teeth brushing. He's so tiny though, I would really like to avoid a teeth cleaning that requires anesthesia.

I got a toothbrush with two ends, one for a normal size dog, and one for "precision brushing", I guess. I use the small end.

How can you tell if you are being too rough?
