I was pulled into this mess and actually called Maxine to offer help. She sounded totally reasonable on the phone and I was truly interested in taking one of her dogs as part of my family. I would have had him vetted, neutered, groomer and whatever else he would have needed. I even offered the name and number of a rescue in her area as a back up to the original rescue. I spoke to both and they agreed to help each other rehome these yorkies. From what I remember from the posts (but you can read it yourself to try to figure it out) was that all these dogs were not vetted and she was going to give them to whomever wanted them UNALTERED. At one point she took a few to the vet and one died from being vaccinated. There was a lot of drama~mostly unnecassary.
They were offered for free in this condition. I'm not surprised that something like this has happened. Can anyone answer two questions for me?
1. Is the dog that is being used or will be used by this other breed from the FREE yorkies that were given away back in August? NO THis is a pup that she sold yo this breeder.
2. After giving all of her breeder dogs away and saying she was giving up breeding is she still breeding yorkies? *The one thing that stick in my mind is that she still had one litter that she was keeping ...She had sold all her pups. but she still had a few adults that she is Breeding

Hi All I see this thread is moving right along. I cant answer all the questions only a few on what I know. We are talking about two different breeders here in this thread, so Im sure alot of people are getting confused.
Yes I did try and help Maxine rehome her breeding dogs, Yes she told me she was getting to old to breed. I agreed to help her find home for some of her retired dogs. some were older and some were not able to breed. some having on litter that didnt live, so they were not breed again. Maxine was seling these Yorkies cheap Only wanting good homes for them, she then decided to only charge enough to have these Yorkies alterd instead of taking the money they would use the money for this to be done. I had found many people wanteing these Yorkies. But Like I told Maxine I do NOT know these people and how they live and or care for their pets. She wanted people that I knew. She did decide to let them go to rescue because they agreed to have them altered and screen for good homes. and thats what they did. I was so relieved these dogs found their forever loving homes.
What this breeder does is really none of our business..... I have talked to her many times about letting her Yorkies go so cheap. and letting them go with breeding rights. She had sold the other breeder 2 dogs but did not know she was useing them to make mix breeds or that she breed a feamle before a year old as some one had said. Theres nothing she can do about it now.
Yes she is still breeding. she had kept a few of her dogs. and has down sized. This Ch Gold Dust is her stud. Im sure if any of you breeders want to talk to her she would be willing to talk to you. She has put many years into breeding Yorkies and has got some great Dogs. and its sad that someone to all her hard work on makeing Her Yorkies what they are today to make mix's.
Thats really all I know. that and I got my Yorkie a male from her 4 1/2 years ago. and many of my friends have gotton pups from her.
