I helped a friend bottle feed and I used a paper clip/ sterilized it and poked 3holes in the top. It made a slightly bigger hole than the needle and was more effective. I did notice I had to squeeze the bottle a little more firmly, but just be aware of bubbles frothing out their mouths too much. Always make sure you try and burp them and wipe their little bottoms with a warm damp cloth afterwards as well.
