I would bet it's yeast infection too! Our Toto never complains about anything and Patrick smelled that "yeast" smell and upon taking her to her vet we found that it was a yeast infection. The vet couldn't believe that she hadn't been scratching or shaking her head it was so bad. I felt soooo bad, but had no way of knowing. I regularly take her in to have the hair plucked from inside her ears and I use ear plugs when I bathe her. Good luck.
