That's a little much everyday brushing his teeth
2-3 times a week is good
If he's a puppy his mouth is very tiny
make sure the finger brush you're using is small enough
also the toothpaste you're using
is it for dogs?
They usually like the taste of that
Mine jump when they see the tube come out
and finally be careful of the force you're brushing with
their gums and lips are very sensitive and if you're pressing hard it maybe uncomfortable
