Everything is so rushed, with party's, church programs, work gatherings, cooking, shopping before the 25th. The days after are relaxing, if you are not rushing again, this time putting everything away. So by actually celebrating the 12 days of Christmas, you can "wind down" slowly and take a breather. Our lights will be lit at least thru New Years.... maybe the weekend following. And slowly, I can fiddle around putting a few things away here and there.

I have a friend that is very insistant that the tree comes down on the day after Christmas, and I am sure it is great having it all put away, but then she complains that she worked her butt off throughout the entire holiday..... "and now it's over"
  Enjoy!!!!
