Just wanted to say welcome to YT...and congratulations on getting a new puppy!
Winston, my boy...was very dark as a pup...also with white "twinkle toes". His body is still very dark...his face is lighter, he is now 4 years old, almost 5....I personally like the looks of the darker Yorkie. We brought him home at 8 weeks, he never had hypoglycemia as a puppy. He was a whiz to house train...totally trained the very first day. My suggestion: When you bring your puppy home, take him to where ever you WANT him to potty in the future and put him down and wait...you may have to wait awhile but he will eventually go potty...then throw a party, praise him, love on him, give him treats...what ever it takes for him to know you are pleased and happy that he went potty. He will then learn where to go...to get that same reaction. DO NOT LET HIS PAWS TOUCH YOUR FLOORS BEFORE HE HAS GONE POTTY WHERE YOU WANT HIM TO. Honest, it works! Good luck and enjoy your puppy...he needs a name!!!
