Try the regional forums, and see if anyone has a recommendation for a good groomer in your area.
If you do a yahoo search, you might find sites where people write in to rate the grooming businesses.
If you know anyone with a Yorkie or other small dog, ask them where they go, and what they think of the places.
I would definitely call different groomers and find out their specialty. I wasn't happy with Lexi's first grooming experience. I just brought her yesterday to a groomer who: 1) specializes in small dogs; 2) more specifically, specializes in Yorkies; 3) is a Yorkie owner; 4) shows her Yorkies; and 5) is a member of YT - I found out when talking to her! I was so happy with this experience, and she taught me many helpful things.
