I'm not sure - I don't feed it so I don't know for sure but from what I understand, it is the grains and corn content that cause the itching. Corn is the number one irritant in food for dogs.

Like I've said over and over, lots of people feed it and have no problems. If it works for you, great. All dogs are different and it's about finding what works best for you. The OP asked for opinions about food and I gave mine, that's all. I prefer to feed food that is grain-free, and especially corn free. I like the protein source to the first two or so ingredients on the list and we do not feed anything with animal by-products.
