I think that may be the only way, unless you can reassert yourself as leader of the pack, with your little boy as 2nd and your newcomer as bottom! It wont be easy, but maybe if you read up about it. Perhaps you have elevated the little girl as top dog by making an extra fuss of her when you first had her. Try Jan Fennels 'the dog whisperer' DVD...that may give you some ideas.
