Seymour has to always sit by or touch someone when they are in the familyroom at our house. He is definitely NOT the dominant type. He is the one that always "surrenders" to Shelby when they play and also the first to cowl if he hears a loud voice. He is such a softy! 
I think that your Yorkie just wants to be with you.
