yes.... this sounds like aggression
and it's coming from insecurity
Whenever a dog feels insecure or scared they are likely to bite
like when they are having their nails cut
Warn your groomers so they have the choice of putting a muzzle on him

You need to work on his socialization
if he has a chew toy
play with it with him
The MINUTE he growls or shows agression
take it away
and make a loud noise so he knows that was the defining moment
samething with food
This sounds like it's in the early stages so it should be easier to correct
