Thanks for the ideas. Yes it is young, but that is when the owner needed to move them out so we had to take it then. We tried the pen a couple times today and the pup hates it. Tries to get out immediately. The only time it stayed in a bit without crying was when we put it in while asleep. Have not even tried a crate since it would need to be removed several times to potty.
The pup was kept in a large wire cage with its sisters so i dont know why the pen would be a scare. Must be the separation. I have looked for one of those heart beat stuffed animals but have not seen one locally.
We let it go as long as we could last night cause I know the problems with giving in to crying....but the hours just seemed too long to let it go. |
