Oh my. Seven weeks is super young to be taken away from it's mommy. No wonder he was crying. There are little stuffed animal snuggles that have a ticking that helps tiny babies feel secure. I'm not sure where they are available from. I'm sure you could google it. My babies all sleep with me. When I first got them and were afraid of piddling in bed, I put them in a little crate and had them on the bed with me so I could put my fingers in to comfort them. Please make sure that you have Karo syrup or NutraCal in the house in case your baby has a hypoglycemic episode where he has low blood sugar. Hypoglycemia is very, very common with such young ones.
