trust me I know what you mean when it comes to family. Yesterday everyone came to our house and I had to shut Tyke up in the bedroom when everyone was getting their food. then I let him out a little while and had to put him back which i hated, but the little kids were to active and they weren't watching him. So later I got him out and held him the last hour they were here. There were to many people here for him to be running around and I didn't like putting him in there.
So sometimes it stinks if they come to your house too. ( well i mean alot of people)
At thanksgiving my side of the family came and we let him out because there isn't any little kids running around, so he was ok then.
I would feel bad to leaving him while we go celebrate Christmas. But today we stay home and have a nice quite day.
sorry for your situation, but i really know how you feel because we have grouchy family that isn't crazy about pets.
