Welcome! I am new to YT and new to yorkies too (have had bigger dogs all my life). As for potty training, mines 4 months and we have special treats she only gets when she goes outside. Once she goes she gets a VERY energetic "good girl" and we go right in for a treat, she dances on her hind leggs for it and it has worked pretty well so far. But with our weather going to 16 degrees in the mornings with this cold everyone seems to have she has reverted back to having more accidents inside. Also when I catch her in the house I clap loud to interupt and she will stop and we go right outside then she finished her business in the right area and we get a good girl and a treat. Patience is a must! It can be frustrating but there is hope. Merry Christmas!
