I agree. The culprit, according to my vet, is usually water in the ears at bathtime. My vet gave me a cleaner to use after bathing that has alcohol of some sort in it. It actuaslly dries the ear out in the event water has gotten in there. I don't use it after every bath, but I use it at the first sign of "stinky ears" and the odor is gone in a day or so.
