Hi Gerry,My little yorkie Fifi was 6mths when I had her first trim. then her coat come nicer, because at the moment your little yorkie at 6mths still has her puppie coat.by the time she is 12mths it will be down to the floor. just make sure she has regular trims. it then seems to grow quicker.
