her stone is assumed to be Struvite, I ask today. (I remembered!) but unless they remove the stone and have it analyzed they don't know this 100%

It is struvite then and she absolutely does need to be on prescription food for now. She may end up on low protein later. I guess they will all have to fed on a schedule because I wouldn't take the chance of her getting into the other brand.

Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Urinary SO 13

Because of the amount of protein in this food (not much at all), I don't think dogs are kept on it long term. Science Diet also has a food for this that you might like better but I'm not sure of the ingredients right now.
