I purchase the pads used for human beds at Sam's. They're 24" x 36"; there are 15 to a pack, and 8 packs to the box (120 total). I think they cost something like $32.00 ...

I have the two Yorkies, and my grandson's 15 lb. Westie. All go outside when they can, but will use the pad if no one notices they want out. I have one by the back door and one in my bedroom. Solids get picked up and flushed; unless the pads get soaked, they're changed daily. Sometimes they won't use the one in my bedroom for days ... it's there for nightime convenience, or so I can sleep a little later on weekends.

I fold them over and roll them up. My trash gets dumped daily, so I've never noticed a problem with odor. They have a ready supply of water, so their urine is never strong.

It works for us!
