I really wouldn't do the turkey thing. I just don't see the benefits outweighing the dangers... Too me, a good bully stick or high quality dog treat is much more appropriate. Dark meat is much to fatty and cause pancreatitis. Many times turkey is seasoned with salt and basted with butter, both of which are not good. White meat can have skin on it which is too fatty as well..

I would just tell the inlaws that Pixie is extremely sensitive and you don't want to have to ruin the holiday by taking her to the ER vet.

For those who want to share the holiday meal with their babies, maybe get a can of high quality dog food and allow them to have a bit of that as a special treat. Just a thought!
