Hi there. I may not be the best person to answer this, but I cut my boy's face (on top - above the eyes) so that it can't fall into his eyes. I also grow the rest of the face hair because it doesn't bother them anymore as soon as it is long enough. Imo, if you cut the facial hair, you will always have to cut it. And no, it won't hurt to cut her whiskers.
