My Molly does that too. She either plays right next to me or else is sleeping with her head on my foot. She sleeps in bed with me as well. Sometimes right up against me, but mostly in a spot not far from me on the bed. I choose to think that it is love and trust over dominance. She also follows me everywhere I go. Even when I take a shower. I have a garden tub, so she'll sit and wait on the lower step for me. I think it's cute.
