They were looking for a playmate for a small male they have and my little guy is just under 3 pounds at 5 1/2 months. I haven't been in any hurry to place him until I found a really suitable home and thought that, from my conversations with the daughter, that they were good prospects. Anyway, this lady tells me that with the Yorkie they now have, he went into hypoglycemic shock 2 days after they got him and it cost them $3,000 in vet bills to save him. Well, they loved my little guy but the mom balked at the price (which is very reasonable). I haven't heard back from them and for me, it's just as well. Seems like she would rather save a few bucks up front rather than get a guaranteed healthy Yorkie with breeder support. And this is after spending all that money at the vet on the first one. Mind you, this was a very wealthy woman but with her attitude, she's just setting herself up for another heartache. I'm sure there's a breeder down here somewhere with a cheaper Yorkie that will tell her just what she wants to hear to make a sale and then be unavailable for them. Some people just never learn.
i can definately see that happening...a lil logic goes along way...i hope everything is ok for lil prince, clealry something is wrong since she hasnt posted back,i cant go to sleep for checking the board...
