We've used doggie doors for years in the different homes we've had...some were in the door and some were in the wall. They worked great in the past with Boog and the others but Jo & Riley just don't get it
We tried bribing them through with a treat, which worked fine until you didn't give anymore treats. Next we took the advice of someone on YT and taped the door up in the hopes that they would get used to going through the opening...that worked...they're used to it being opened, but then the tape lets loose and the door closes and they won't go through. So, yesterday was the day to get tough...no more tape, no more treats...we're determined they will learn! Yah, right
I gently push one through the door, then the next...then I go to the other side and repeat, repeat and repeat yet again. So guess what?? Now they think they can't come through the door unless I'm there to push them through so they stand there and Riley barks until I come get them. I'm about to give up...
