if your kid is constipated get pure pumkin (not pumpkin pie mix) give him a tablespoon 3 times in one day...that should clear him up.
If he is young and straining, really needs to go... if you have a syringe fill it with warm water and inject it in his bum that should work in about 5-10 mins if not do it again within 15 mins. If that doesnt work get him to the vet for a check up.
