Whether it was 'in home' or a 'business' doesn't matter. The breeder was still responsible for making sure that the pups were placed at the proper time. It has nothing to do with when the pup was weaned. If they were unaware of this info, they have no business breeding in the first place.

In any event, your little one will come around and adjust in his own time. Just make sure he is eating properly and that he has a calm environment without alot of turmoil while he is adjusting. Keep some nutrical on hand in case he doesn't eat enough.
