I use both. I prefer that they go outside, but if they are home alone...or if I am asleep and they dont' want to wake me, they use the pads.
She is lucky to have someone so patient with her! She will learn...they respond when they know they are loved! It is not true that you cannot teach an old dog new tricks (although she is not old.), but you know what I mean.!
