This is probably a nice age to add one, although potty training can be tough at both of those ages. Wylie was about 2 when we got Marcel, and I have to say - Wylie was rather upset as he was an only fur-child for 2 years. When we got Marcel, Wylie felt very insecure and needy for a good month, so we really tried to help him feel important and to adjust to his little brother. Now, they are great friends - they play, wrestle, bark at invisible things together. Marcel definitely assumed "younger brother" role, but it works for him as he's tiny. So, I think if you get another baby now vs. later, it might help w/ adjustment.
