Health guarantees usually just promise you a replacement if your puppy gets sick or has a genetic condition. It would be heartbreaking to have to return one puppy for another. Besides, if the problem were hereditary like a liver shunt, you wouldn't want to take a chance on a puppy from the same breeder.

It's much wiser to get a puppy from a breeder who health tests and does genetic screening so you have an excellent chance of getting a healthy puppy to begin with.
