My fella "pretends" to not like the dogs!LOL! Everytime someone comes to visit he offers them a dog or two
He's only kidding he knows theres no chance I'd let any of them go, but having said that he's not as close to them as I am. He sees all of the dogs as mine although one of the dogs (our staff Nikki) sees herself as his dog
We do get into rows now and then over them and mostly he only tolerates them because he knows he has no choice but occasionally I see his softer side (usually when he thinks I'm not paying attention
)) so I know he likes them a little bit (secretly). He'll give them leftover meat from his dinner,play a little with them or give them a pat absent mindedly
I think I need to let him choose the next dog we get (though not until one of mine passes naturally of VERY,VERY,VERY OLD age
)maybe then he will more involved.
