They probably wouldn't of course, but we all have different opinions and everyone's choices in what they do with their dog should be respected. Personally, I think smoking is a lot more dangerous to the public than a well behaved, small dog in a store that doesn't affect anyone's health. I would never bring my dog into Target because they have Starbucks and sell food, but I did bring him into Longs Drugs which also has food so that makes me a hypocrite.. I did not bring him near the food section though.
Other people mentioned this as well, but I too feel guilty sometimes bringing him places unless it's a pet store. He loves to meet everyone and is much happier with me carrying him than being in his crate at home.
I forgot to mention, if some one abuses their dog that should not be respected, so I take back what I said about everyone's choices being respected..
