I think as long as the store is accepting than it is fine. When I take Chloe she is always in her carrier or in the seat of the cart. I don't feel right having her walk around on a leash , I am afraid someone may step on her.

Most of the stores I go to are free standing shops (Target , Petsmart etc.) or outdoor malls . I haven't taken her all the way through an indoor mall , but have taken her into some of the stores and they have not minded.

I haven't had any bad experiences yet and haven't been asked to leave any stores, but if I was I would understand.
