Franklin and Maggie are 1 and 4 years old - they go out every 4-6 hours. It's around every 3-4 when I am home. They don't normally hold it 6 hours unless we are gone that long. Although I must admit, lately it's been around 5-6 hours between our potty breaks because it's been so dang cold outside. They sleep a lot while I am home and don't seem to mind.
We go out first thing in the morning, every 4-6 hours after that, and then once again before bed. They sleep through the night without going.
When we were training they went out every two hours (they were already pee-pad trained though).
