In the past when I would see people having groceries delivered, I would think to myself "That is the ultimate in lazy". I am now a convert. My groceries arrived nearly on time this morning, all tucked safely in plastic boxes (TOTES) with locks on them, quietly delivered at my door. They don't ring the bell unless you ask them too. And the bananas, while a bit large, were the perfect shade of green for me. They should just be ripe for lunches next week, if I can get out to get to work. And if not, no biggie. I'm set. Everything was packed totally with care, they even have dry ice packs and thermal blankets to keep things cold/frozen as need be. Not one egg was broken. The bread was not smashed. Wish I could say that for the grocery store clerk! I could get used to this. And the surprise is, I ended up spending about 1/4 less than I would have at the store. You have to select each item online, no time or desire for impulse buying!
