Is it possible for a 9 lb dog to pull or hurt a muscle or hips slipping on the ice. General Lee slipped on the ice a couple of times a day ago. Today when we went out, he was not his usual peppy self. He has not eaten and did not eat his cherrios treat. I noticed that he has been shivering when out ( he did not do that last year as a pup). I went to rub his back and when I massaged lightly his hips he nipped at me. Not hard, more of a "that hurts" he did not yip so it is not a strong pain, but his tail is down and he does seem to have a bit of an arch in his back.

Any ideas?
