As a new puppy, you don't want to give too much variety. I would feed the same thing as the breeder fed for the first week to be sure if any problems the dog may have are not food related. Remember if you add too much of a new food, your dog will probably display digestion difficulties, which can include diarrhea, so go easy when introducing new food. I agree with the above poster, that too much human food can cause them to become picky, and Yorkies are picky anyway. If you decide to use human food, instead of dog food, please do some research on the best combination. Most people here who home cook, add supplemental vitamins as well, to insure that their dog is getting a rounded diet. |
